TRAILERS for "TARES AMONG THE WHEAT"
We are happy to report that “Tares” is undergoing the process of replication and we expect the copies will be finished by the end of next week. Completing the ending of the film took a few days longer than anticipated, but the good news is that it has increased the length of the documentary. The completed film now clocks in at just-under three hours (2 hours and 57 minutes to be exact). Somehow, we just can’t seem to tell a story in a two-hour time block. But we hope our viewers will find the information engaging and useful in terms of understanding how the Bible has been manipulated in modern times. Our chief desire is to sound an alarm of warning, to put Christians on their guard against the wiles of the enemy (2 Corinthians 2:11, Ephesians 6:11), and to encourage our brethren to continue in the faith trusting that God has preserved for us the true record of the Holy Scripture.
It has been a long road to accomplish this sequel, but in the last two and a half years since we finished “A Lamp in the Dark,” our little ministry has been busy upgrading our production capabilities, and we hope the results will show in this new film. We have invested in a new editing/sound system, and this is the first film we’ve done where much of it is shot in High-Definition video. Our other films have been shot mostly with 24p technology, some of which we also use. Personally, I continue to gravitate toward the 24p format, because it tends to look like 16mm film. But I have to admit that HDV produces a sharp, high quality image that we believe will appeal to our viewers in this and future productions. “Tares” will also be the first documentary where we have used green screen technology as part of the process. This has allowed us to create a variety of interesting backgrounds for our characters, to keep the film interesting, while we unfold this important and powerful chapter in the history of the Bible.
Today, we have posted four trailers for the film to provide a sneak preview. We hope you enjoy them, and encourage you to send us your comments.
